John,
I am honored to have been chosen "the official Class of 72 Reunion Committee scout". Where do I start, the oldest grad that attended graduated in 1930. There were 3 of us from the class of 72. Cathy Ainsworth (she lives close to us in Valley Center), Berry Goettsch and myself. They announced the dedication of benches for the senior patio, (I believe we were the only class, the others were for specific people) when 1972 was said, in the sprit of 72 I yelled "72", I was sitting at the table for the class of 39, they all laughed. Shelly Merrill's Mom, Mary was there and so was Jami Brown's parents, Margaret and Jim Brown, these are parents I've know since grade school. My Dad, knows Berry's Dad and his Dad's two brothers. The world became small that night. It was very cool sitting in a room with all the generations and having the common thread of growing up in Torrance and attending the same high school. This is a strong multi-generational alumni. That's my report.
72 Rocks on.
