Just wanted to touch bases with you to let you know what is going on with me...i am going back to New Orleans next Friday to check out the house and how my "things" are. It is 99% that i will be moving back here to CA for a while if not permanently. i have already decided to leave most everything in New Orleans as it will be too costly to move it all AGAIN and i don't even have a place here yet...i will probably be giving most of my things to my friends who have lost so much and will just re set up house as i am able. There are, of course, a couple of things that i will have to bring (my aunt's hope chest and the rocking chair we bought when i got pregnant with Wendy) as well as some sentimental things (great grandmothers crystal and the like). Not sure of the logistics of getting those things here but at least some of it will be in my car when i go back to make that trip. This is so hard...starting over again **sigh** but i know there is a reason for it and i will do my best to walk the path until i find out what that reason is. Within this nightmare have been many blessings, most of which have been friends. i try to focus on that when the pain of leaving the city becomes too great.

i have tried to answer all the emails i have received but you might want to post a quick note on the website to let everyone know i am still ok...i will write again after i get back from New Orleans...hopefully i will still be ok...the sad thing is not only will the city not be what it was when i left, but i have also lost a very dear friend opted to stay with her animals and her body was found in her home just last Thursday...i can't get any worse right??
